Portrait of Kamalika Patra

Founder

Kamalika Patra

Founder & Principal Scientist

AI architect, researcher and economist, working where data science, cognitive science and complex biology meet.

Kamalika Patra has led AI strategy and architecture for the finance function of a global technology group, guiding a team once seen as the organisation’s biggest AI sceptics to first place in agentic-AI adoption within four months. Before that came four years in a major European bank’s AI centre of excellence and sector research team: forecasting, causal inference and recommender work worth millions a year, and workshops teaching colleagues machine learning and ethical AI.

Kamalika Patra is a PhD researcher in machine learning & data science, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam & Tinbergen Institute, researching causal machine learning and knowledge-representation learning, with an MSc in quantitative economics (cum laude) from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a minor in philosophy. Parijata Labs brings these threads together with first-hand experience of complex chronic illness.

Dig in together

Bring the problem nobody has cracked yet.

The messy dataset, the half-formed hypothesis, the case three specialists could not explain. We will pull it apart with you, test ideas fast and find the thread that ties it all together.
